Whew.....is December over already?!! Life is zoooooooooooming by too fast....don't get me wrong, I love it! Every minute that ticks by is one closer to when Kimee Tink is here but I just hope it slows down when she gets here. {I'll get lucky right?}
Christmas was great!! Brandon and I feel so blessed. The gifts that we received from family and eachother were amazing! The gifts that were given from some one we didn't know and still don't know was exhilarating. We are so blessed!!!!!
My cousin was due with a baby boy on December 26th but ending up giving birth to a still born on the 22nd...Abby, April, Blake, and I went to his funeral. What a solemn occasion that was. It was raining seriously all day. They had taken pictures with this sweet baby. Each picture was filled with sadness, loneliness, and despair but there was also something behind all those emotions. My cousins had a great understanding of what was going on. They know that they will be able to raise their son some day. There was hope and light in their eyes at a time when I would have been utterly distraught. Brax Ryan Brimhall, I love you already. I know you are perfect and for that reason you were able to reach heaven before all of us.
We had a New Years party at Abby's and lit off fireworks. It was really fun!!! Plus I tried to make some soup and it actually didn't taste too bad! I'm all into trying to be a better mom lately....I make bread once a week. We have a year supply of it as I try to perfect it and make it as good as my mom. I'm not even close yet.
This morning is kind of a big day for Brandon at work so I decided to get up at 4:30 and make some cinnamon rolls for him to take to work....I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself. It was only my second time to make them and I think they turned out good. Well atleast they looked good! I haven't heard from Brandon if they actually tasted good too.
I'm still trying to figure out my goals for the year. It's alot harder to think of goals for not only me but for Kimee too. I want to set some that I can actually accomplish this year. I'm going to do it!! I love this time of year and the chance that I have to look over my life and see where I need to improve and pick one thing to work on. Yay!!!!!
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas filled with Christ and that your New Years has reset your resolve to be better!!!!!

Allee What a sentimental post. I'm not sure that is the word but I feel for your cousin and thier loss. Being pregnant for 9 months and not having a baby at the end would be very difficult. I hope they can recover well. I'm excited for you and Brandon to have this baby of your own. It is the best! Good luck - I love you
ReplyDeleteVery happy to read this Allee, you are truly amazing! So sorry about your cousin. Love you so much!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUp at 4:30 to make him cinamon rolls?!! I can't say I've ever done that. You are such a great wife! I love your post. You write and express your thoughts so well! I admire that! Love you, and looking forward to updates on little Kimmy! I love her already!
